We had a new member come tonight...Kai Christiansen is here! He is a few weeks old and is cute cute cute! Cody was also there and is cruising all over. He's eating big boy food too. He's about 10 months old and is still doing ok, considering. He has a lot of energy but us not gaining weight and is quite jaundiced. Hopefully his liver comes soon! I think Jessica and Paul have a heart attack every time the phone rings.
This book was quite emotional. It was about a boy and a girl who have known each other all their lives as their parents are best friends and neighbors. They fall in love as teens and the girl has some depression issues she struggles with and is conflicted about her relationship with the boy because she feels it "incestuous" in a way. There is a suicide "pact" that the book is focused around and it really tugs at your heart strings. It was gripping.
Ryan made a fruit pizza and Jessica T. and I nearly ate the entire thing. We decided she should make it every time. Ryan, Jessica T and Cody, Carolyn and Kai, Michelle, Angie and Shelley were all there tonight.
