Location: Ike's in downtown Minneapolis
Ike's is a hip little joint with yummy burgers and interesting appetizers right downtown, so it's always a busy, fun atmosphere. Angie, Kerry, Carolyn, Christina, Jessica, Ryan were all there. Michelle is on her way to Paris and Kelly had to work (she is also a nurse).
The lastest news is that Ryan AND Carolyn are both expecting their second babies. Ryan is due April 30th and Carolyn is due April 5th. They are both real tired but feeling well overall. Jessica just returned from a cruise and was all tan and fabulous. Angie is now dating Bucky F., and old family friend. They are in the fun, new stages of the relationship. I think they are a great match!
This book was a good story. A husband who delivers his own twins (he is an MD) and gives one away to the nurse because she has Down's syndrome. Ethically, of course, it raises big questions and a good discussion. Some of us weren't as impressed with it as others, but it did make you evaluate your own values and emotions. You have to lie in the bed you make.
We ended the night with a chocolate cake in celebration of Angie's 34th birthday! (9/16)
