It was a very snowy night and I brought Lucy with me. Norah was traveling down to Owatonna with Matt to go to his grandpa Joe's Sacrament of the Sick, as he is dying. It was so snowy that they had to turn around and come back. Matt felt real bad that they couldn't make it to see him.
Anyway, Lucy is 8 months old and fairly new to sitting, so she spent her time weeble wobbling on the ground while we chatted and ate. She's a pretty easy baby.
Christina made Italian style meatballs...yum!
This historical fiction novel is set in 15th century Florence. The city's history is mixed with a coming of age story about a 15 year old free-spirited girl. There is art, love, mystery, and the author really paints a picture of what life was like at that time. All of us have said time and again, that we love to read historical fiction; learning something while being entertained with a story. Good book choice.
